Fokker Trip Sibu To Kuching

Gold Arawana on his Mas-Wings' Fokker-50 air trip

I always prefer to use Boeing whenever I used Sibu Airport. However all the Boeing flight were fully booked and I have to used this second smaller flight belonging to MAS. I cannot remember my last trip by the 50 seated flight which fly on average 10, 000 ft above the sea level.

This is the flight... There was rumors that this flight will be slowly upgraded to bigger flight which could accommodate about 70 passengers.. I don't know, I haven't try..

Sibu Airport, the largest airport serves five Divisions in Central Region of Sarawak. I heard about on-proposal Mukah Airport which will might be taking over this airport as the gateway to the central region..

Empty plane, as most of the passengers to Kuching already boarding by Boeing. I feel like VVIP on private plane with two friendly MAS Wings crews.

The roundabout to Sibu Airport and the only road leading to the northern part of Sarawak, or generally Borneo..

The road leading to Sibu Airport now are under upgrading to dual carriageway, up to Julau junction. It is good if the Government initiate on upgrading the road up to Kuching and Miri. Sarawakian being waiting for it for more than 45 years...

Sibu Jaya... the extension of Sibu Town. It is a fast growing town in Sibu.

Batang Rajang, the longest river in Malaysia. Can you see the island? It might take million of years, on my eyes its beautiful...

Two of few settlements on our way, Sarawak is a big state which needs time to develop.. Some says that Sarawak is the fastest develop state in Malaysia.. Is it refering to the whole state of Sarawak? I am not very sure.

I always see cloud as beautiful. On air trip, I always hate the clouds as it will disturb my comfortabel trips.

Now you will understand why my photos are not clear and blurred. Open burning on here and there...Its hot weather some more..

Sarawak blessed with thousands kilometers of rivers state wide. Its not surprised that the government now serious in developing it into renewal energy.

UNIMAS... the local university that changed Samarahan from a small town to the fastest growing Division in Sarawak. Thanks UNIMAS..

The plane is about to landing. Below is the newly completed bridge to Samarahan. I still remember that this area was a swamp jungle where the locals could find and sell lokan on the roadside.

Kuching Airport...look empty maybe because of the H1N1 case. Its really disturb the tourism industry in Sarawak...

Sekejap juga saya sudah sampai/tiba di Lapaangan Terbang Antarabangsa Kuching.

Click and scroll down & down.... we will be landed shortly. hahahah

Jambatan yang berada di Kota Samarahan is Jambatan Sg. Kuap. Dulu satu laluan sekarang dah ada dua laluan. Saya pernah buat site visit bersama dengan Ir. Fridolin pada tahun 2008. Launching method yang dipakai sama dengan kaedah yang digunakan di Jambatan Dalat, Dalat.

...bro..walaupun ada jambatan tu tapi masih lagi 'jem' (may b later on ada 'kaya' pulak) cos jalan di kedua-dua belah jambatan berkenaan masih lagi dua lorong. still too narrow for heavy traffic esp during rush hour (early morning and evening)...i selalu sangkut on my way visiting my sis nearby....hopefully the road will be upgraded in the near future...doakan...
